Cramped Up and Cluttered

Tanya and Brian Clark have a very cramped bathroom. For starters, the toilet faces their standup shower, leaving virtually no legroom. To add insult to injury, there are more than a dozen shades of purple tile, a broken-down tub, a monster-size vanity and no real storage space. Designer Krista Watterworth and carpenter Steven Whittle set out to give this room the flow it so desperately needs, along with a clean color palette and some interesting Asian influences.
