UPDATE [July 10, 2019]: It's go time! Today, HGTV launched production on its newest competition series, Rock the Block. Get the details below!

We’ve all seen those housing developments where every single house looks basically the same, with only the slightest variations in siding or front door color. If you’ve ever lived in one of these neighborhoods, then you know how hard it can be to make your home stand out. And this why HGTV’s new competition series, Rock the Block, is so brilliant. With just four weeks and a budget of $175,000, four designers will take on identical suburban properties in the same Greater Los Angeles neighborhood and turn them into unique, one-of-a-kind homes. The designer who increases their home value the most wins!

So, who exactly is going head-to-head? Well, I hope you’re ready for this because HGTV is bringing in some seriously talented ladies to get the job done: Leanne Ford(Restored by the Fords), Jasmine Roth(Hidden Potential), Mina Starsiak Hawk(Good Bones) and Alison Victoria(Windy City Rehab). Perhaps you’ve heard of them???

On top of all that star power, Property Brothers star and real estate expert Drew Scott is hosting the series. Los Angeles-based developer Pardee Homes will build the four new properties to be featured on the series.

I don’t know about you, but I cannot wait to see how these ladies take identical homes and infuse their own distinct styles into them!
