Season 1, Episode 1

Historic Cape Home, Modern Cape Living

Cape Cod is a place with a long and proud history, with houses dating back to the Revolutionary War era. Many of these historic homes aren't livable anymore, and bringing these older houses back to life is a passion for Chris and Peyton Lambton. The Furmans bought a beautiful home on Main Street, however the siding is crumbling, the floors are slanted, and after almost two centuries of additions to the house, the layout is perplexing and dysfunctional. Desperate for an upgrade, the Furmans have scrimped and saved enough for a $50,000 budget renovation. Can the Lambtons stretch that nest egg far enough to make the necessary repairs and improvements, all while complying with historic building codes?
