An uninviting family room turns into an airy, light-filled modern space by adding a new wall of glass. An unused doorway go away, while a hidden door is used to camouflage a funky entryway. The space gets cozy with a new wood ceiling, laminate flooring and a graphic wall design. The outdoor space becomes a usable entertaining area with a modern metal-topped pergola and functional seating area.
