Season 1, Episode 6

Urea Got Me

Louise and Steve had RetroFoam installed in the walls of their home, but later find out it's banned in Canada due to the Urea Formaldehyde it contains. The family now suspects that the insulation is the culprit behind their son's respiratory problems. But when Mike and his crew start tearing things down, he discovers the issues go way beyond their walls. The house is littered with health and safety hazards, from mold infestation and animal carcasses, to rotted floor joists and illegal plumbing. Mike takes it all on to give this family a fresh start.
