We've seen what Galey Alix can do. The Wall Street executive frequently posts design inspo for her followers on TikTok and Instagram, but we're still floored by the transformation she pulled off in a recent episode of her HGTV show, Home in a Heartbeat.

Galey's client, Tasha, had always dreamed of a cozy home she could settle down in with her family, but her new space, though beautifully built, felt cold. Tasha couldn't figure out how to make the open layout flow. Of course, Galey — who chose Tasha out of many fans asking for a renovation via Instagram DMs — had some ideas.

Enter the finished home: Galey splashed bold color on the walls; she went with deep-hued wall coverings and paint choices like Behr's Carbon Copy and Winter Way. Her mix of textured and bright furnishings creates a balanced, neutral, cozy ambiance. High-end pieces (like the Lumens Carrie Dining Chair) shine alongside more affordable accessories, many of which are from Amazon and Pottery Barn.
