Old-Fashioned Kitchen

Homeowners Todd and Kelly Baesen's kitchen has a bad case of the '70s. It's filled with imitation wood cabinets, a cramped seating area and a dated linoleum backsplash making the heart of their home a heartache. Designer Karen McAloon helps turn this dark kitchen into a warm and cozy place. By adding molding, painting the cabinets, sewing curtains from napkins and painting Kelly's inherited kitchen table, they create a warm space using the items they already own.
