English Lodge Family Room

Homeowners Brad and Mary Stompe and their son, Dylan, have many outdoor-themed items in their living room but no unifying style. Designer Karen McAloon turns their bland, woodsy room into a charming English-like lodge using items they already have. She plays up their fireplace with a new paint treatment and mantel, adds an inexpensive lead treatment to the windows, chooses warm colors and incorporates a new furniture arrangement to transform the room.
