Christina Hall Honors Late Friend in Heart-Wrenching Episode of 'Christina in the Country'

A family renovation becomes a personal project of love and inspiration in this very special episode.

A family renovation becomes a personal project of love and inspiration in the most recent episode of Christina in the Country — which honors Dr. Jessica Waldron, close friend of host Christina Hall and sister-in-law to Christina’s BFF, Cassie.

About a year after moving to Tennessee, Jessica began losing movement in her body due to ALS (a nervous system disease that weakens muscles and impacts physical function), so Cassie enlisted Christina to make the Waldron home more wheelchair accessible.

“Christina is the one person we trust to make [our house] accessible and make it beautiful,” said Jessica’s husband Damon in the episode.

Heartbreakingly, Jessica passed away mid renovation, but keeping her promise to Cassie, Christina finished the project as quickly as possible so Jessica’s husband and kids could return home.

The touching episode features meaningful reveals, emotional moments and was created in loving memory of Jessica. “I can just feel her presence here,” Christina said during the reveal. Cassie agreed, “This is going to be a place for them to be happy.”
