Summer is my favorite season, but I hate hot summer nights. The air conditioning could be set to 65 degrees, and I still run hot at night. I’ve tried every cooling product on the market, from special gel pillows to fancy linen sheets. I even updated my nighttime routine and sleep hygiene, from taking cooler showers before bed to swapping out cotton pillowcases for silk. Those helped a little, but it wasn’t until I found Soma’s Cool Nights pajamas that I felt like my temperature was actually regulated at night.

True to its name, these PJs are the real deal. The signature fabric features a blend of rayon and spandex so it’s super stretchy and super soft. The lightweight fibers are specifically designed to be cool to the touch and keep the fabric from sticking to your body which prevents overheating. These are now the only pajamas I wear. I don’t toss and turn or wake up in the middle of the night anymore because I’m too hot.

I also love the line because it’s so customizable. The Cool Nights fabric is available in shorts, pants, tees, camis, sleep shirts and more; so no matter how you sleep, there’s a style for everyone. The sizing is fairly inclusive with sizes ranging from XS to XXL, and what I appreciate most about the collection is that the pieces are sold as separates so you get the perfect fit. I love that I can buy a small bottom but a medium top. My go-to styles in the collection are the collared short-sleeve tops paired with the satin-trimmed shorts. There’s just something so luxurious and sophisticated about a matching, collared pajama set.

Soma’s Cool Nights pajamas are a little pricey since a PJ set totals up to $90, but you can usually find a couple of styles and prints on sale for around $25 and sometimes less than $15 on clearance on the Soma website. Whenever I see basics, such as black shorts, on sale and in my size, I grab them!
