Designer Patrice Flashner Fitzgerald modernizes a master bedroom by using white glass floor tile, flowing linen curtains, white lacquered cabinets and clean-lined furnishings.
Despite the mirrored wall (very '80s!), the bedroom was dark and uninviting. By taking down the wall, Patrice gained 6’ of depth and space to re-create.
With all the windows, the curved exterior wall was the only spot to mount the TV. In order to blend it with the rest of the room redesign, Patrice extended the draperies to soften the area and obscure the mounting equipment and “ground” the TV.
Patrice likes the contrast organic wood brings to a space that is modern and sleek. She says, "The warm, earthy feel of the finished birch is a surprise every time the client opens the doors."
