Space planning was important for designer Mary Bokovoy to make this great room function as a kitchen, dining and living space. She chose a round table, rather than an island, to give her client an eat-in space for dining.

Mary turned an eyesore into a feature wall by designing a custom bookshelf to fit around an existing green AC unit in the wall.

There's loads of storage in the kitchen with all the cabinets. The great room floor is made of a red maple.

The furnishings and lighting in the dining area reflect the contemporary-chic style for this bachelor pad.
