A deep porch with a slanted roof runs the length of the home out front. It's an ideal spot from which to survey the rest of the ranch's offerings, including stables and a riding arena.

The welcoming living room features impressive stone walls and thick exposed beams on the ceiling. The fireplace is the focal point, though big windows and large, open doorways keep all the indoor and outdoor spaces feeling connected.

Although this ranch house's main living areas flow easily into one another, the designers also worked to help the public and private spaces feel distinct. Here, a dining room opens off the kitchen via a wide doorway.
