Increase your outdoor living and entertaining space by building your own ground level deck. This video includes a material list and step-by-step tutorial on how to build a deck. Dig holes for piers, fill with concrete and let it set up. Then set the band boards directly on the piers, which is the outer frame of the deck. Next you'll install the floor joists and joist hangers. Nail in the sattles, then lay down decking. Mark the overhang you want and cut off excess with a circular saw.
