About the House
“We were drawn to our home’s classic good looks (circa 1939). With its stately stone exterior, dentil molding, and elegant entry, it reminds us of a country manor in Ireland," say homeowners Jen and Steve Schooff.
The couple kept the trees that stood on either side of the house when they bought it in 2019 and gave the rest of the yard a cleaner style. Hydrangea shrubs frame the door alongside rounded boxwood. Hosta, phlox and daylily fill out the bed on the right. And check out the lannon stone exterior. Named after William Lannon, who opened a local rock quarry in the 1800s, this multitone stone is popular in the area.
