Gathering the Materials
You will need: a large jar (storage jar, apothecary jar, or vase will work)/ spray snow/ transparent tape/ craft knife/ cutting board/ black poster board/ template (included here)/ scissors/ short candle or tea lights

Luminary Template
Use this country scene or create your own template. Measure your jar first to make sure it will be big enough to wrap around the outside. A standard piece of paper will make a strip 22 inches long. Print your template and cut it in half. Tape the two pieces together. If making your own remember to keep the shapes relatively simple.

Cutting the Template
Lay the template on the poster board along a straight edge. Tape it in place with a few small pieces of tape. Use a craft knife to trace the shapes on your template, cutting through the poster board below. Carefully remove the template and tape and make sure all of your cuts are clean. Remove the cutout from the poster board.
