How to Top a Gift Using Leftover Fabric Trim
A neatly tied ribbon is a staple when it comes to gift-wrapping, but instead of reaching for a traditional satin option or a ready-made sticky bow, raid your craft stash for leftover gimp, rickrack, bullion or pom-pom trim.

Add Fabric Trims
Wrap gift in your chosen paper of choice. Select fabric trims that match your theme or color palette, then wrap trim around box, cutting off excess where the ends meet, and securing with hot glue (Image 1). Even though each one of these trims makes a statement on its own, layering more than one style on a gift box is a great way to add visual interest and variety among presents. Play with different trim combinations until you achieve a look you love (Image 2).
