State Cake

A state-shaped cake is a great way to honor the groom’s roots, celebrate where you met or where you’ll start your happily ever after. If you’re a DIY bride, use a large parchment paper template in the shape of your chosen state to create this cake. Lay the paper on top of a large store-bought or homemade sheet cake and cut around it using a serrated knife.

Golf Cake

This cake is guaranteed to be a hole-in-one for any golf-loving groom. It consists of two, square chocolate-frosted tiers decorated with a buttercream "putting green." A white fondant golf ball looks convincing surrounded by real wooden tees (be sure to use new, unused tees). Ask your baker to use a grass decorator tip to achieve the grassy frosting texture.
