There's a way to get the look of garland without all those needles on your floor. Erinn uses one or two colors of 2_ wired ribbon, cut into 18_ strips. By wrapping one end around a long base ribbon, a gorgeous garland reminiscent of a _tutu_ is made. It's very hip and a great addition to a tree or mantle.
