Refreshed Farmhouse in Upstate N.Y.

August 21, 2019

This farmhouse has a long history in Garrison, N.Y., but lost much of its character over the last several years. So, the designers rebuilt the front porch and constructed a second floor in the same style as the original architecture, to give the owners more room to stretch out. They then updated the interior with colorful, contemporary furniture.

White Farmhouse With Front Porch

A swing seat beckons from one end of the newly-built porch, or pull up one of the pretty natural fiber armchairs. Either way, the afternoon is easy as pie to while away.
