To update a dark and dated kitchen, the space was opened up into the adjoining sunroom, expanding the space and introducing plenty of natural light. Color and whimsy are added via bright glass orb pendant lights and yellow chair cushions that really pop.

The kitchen island has a stainless steel base and is lit by colorful glass orb pendants. Designers used balloons to get the positioning just right.

Opening this sunroom to the kitchen floods both spaces with natural light. Ombre curtains coordinate with the waterfall coffee table painted in Bridget Beari Colors high gloss Petula. The cozy white sofa allows for comfy viewing of the backyard. Designer Susan Jamieson explains "painting the door frames black keeps the eye moving and expands the view to see beyond the architecture to the outdoors".
