What you'll need:
- spray paint (2 shades of the same color)
- canister
- plastic wrap
- delicate-surface painter’s tape
- paper towels
Step 1
Flip over a canister and spray-paint the entire thing the lighter of two colors. Let dry.
Step 2
Wrap the bottom half in plastic wrap, sealing with delicate-surface painter’s tape to make sure it’s protected. Then flip the container right side up, and fill it with paper towels to prevent the paint from getting on the interior.
Step 3
Spray paint the top half the darker color. Peel off the plastic wrap and tape while the paint is still wet. Let dry.
