How to DIY Book Shelves

Materials Needed:
- painter's tape
- paint (multiple colors of your choice)
- paint brushes
- shelf brackets
- drill and screws
- construction adhesive such as Liquid Nails
Step 1
Use painter’s tape to tape off the sides of each book, excluding the spine.
Step 2
Paint the front, back, and spine of each book. Let dry, then open each book and use a small brush to paint the inside edges. Let dry.
Step 3
Screw shelf brackets into your wall, then glue a book on top using a construction adhesive such as Liquid Nails. For a secure shelf, space the brackets nearly as wide as the book is long.
