About This Show

In each episode of Rip & Renew, expert carpenter James Lunday and designer Michelle Carano team up to give a homeowner's room a custom look with a floor-to-ceiling makeover! They use architectural detailing, accents and other decorative building materials to add character and charm to bland and boring rooms. James and Michelle use wainscoting, trompe l'oeil, columns and pilasters, a faux fireplace, built-in cabinets, tile flooring that looks like hammered copper and more techniques to add style to a room. Their influences run from ancient Greece to Colonial revival and the projects from a tiny niche to ceiling joists. Find out about the nearly endless architectural solutions that can make a room exciting!
