Steps:1. Bend the chenille stem in half and shape the arms and legs according to the photograph (figure A).
2. Twist the two wire ends together at the neck (figure B).
3. To make the clothing: Cut out felt pants and shirt or a dress (figure C). Fold the pants toward the center and, with 2-ply floss, blanket stitch up and down the inside seam. Slide pants up the doll's legs and sew shut at the top, securing with a few stitches so that the pants won't fall down (figure D).
4. Poke the doll's neck through the hole in the shirt or the dress and position the front and back over the arms and body (figure E).
5. Using 2-ply floss, blanket stitch the arm (figure F) and side seams together (figure G).
6. Tie cotton perle around the girl doll's waist to form a belt (figure H). Bend the doll's feet.
7. For the doll's head: Glue the bead onto the doll's neck and let it dry.
8. Using the colored pencils, draw a face on the bead (figure I). For the girl, attach the fleece hair by first spreading glue on top of the head and then draping the fleece hair over the head (figure J).
9. Spread a little glue inside the acorn cap and place on top of the head (figure K).
