Materials Needed:
- iron-on transfer paper
- adult size gray T-shirt
- 1/4 yard of faux leather
- 1 yard of leather cording
- hole punch
- 1 yard of red polyester-blend fabric
- Velcro and glue
- child size gray pants, black shoes or boots
- wide leather belt
- foam sword from craft or dollar store
- silver spray paint

Create Embellished Shirt
Print our free template onto iron-on transfer paper. Cut out the image and iron the shield design onto the front center of an adult-size grey T-shirt (Image 1).

Create Cape
Cut the cape out of red fabric to be about 12" wide at the top then gradually flaring out so the cape's bottom is the same width as your fabric. Attach one side of Velcro to the gray T-shirt's shoulders and the opposite Velcro side to the top of the cape.

Create Bracers
Cut two 5" by 6" pieces of faux leather. Punch several holes, spaced about 1" apart, on both sides of the faux leather. Criss-cross the leather cord through the punched holes (Image 1).

Finishing Touches
Coat foam sword with silver spray paint and allow to dry (Image 1). Have child dress in gray or black pants and embellished T-shirt. Add a wide leather belt and lace up their bracers. Finally, attach the cape to their shoulders (Image 2) and your hero is ready for a Halloween night filled with adventure (Image 3).
